Project Overview
MROOF completed this 16-unit condominium project on Clansman Trail in Mississauga across two buildings of the same design. Because the work involved multiple units, we coordinated the project with the condominium corporation and everyone involved before installation began. Due to the height of the buildings, our crews used a boom lift for safer and more efficient material handling. We also installed high-profile ventilators above each unit to provide reliable attic ventilation during Ontario winters. The project was completed using Charcoal Grey ThyssenKrupp galvanized steel manufactured in Germany.
Project Challenges
The main challenge of this project was the height of both condominium buildings. Using ladders to move materials and complete the installation would have created unnecessary safety risks, so we used a boom lift throughout the project. Another important part was coordinating the work across multiple units and making sure the installation met the condominium corporation’s requirements. We also had to plan proper attic ventilation for each unit, which led to the installation of high-profile ventilators designed to perform better during Ontario winters.
Installation Process
Stage 2: Double Wood Strapping
We installed double wood strapping across the roof area. This created a strong base for the metal panels and provided proper airflow underneath the roofing system.
Stage 1: Roof Inspection & Planning
We inspected both condominium buildings and planned the installation across all 16 units. Due to the building height, we also prepared safe access using a boom lift.
Stage 3: Metal Panel Installation & Final Details
We installed Charcoal Grey ThyssenKrupp galvanized steel panels and completed all finishing details across both buildings. The roofing system was carefully secured, while the high-profile ventilation provides reliable attic airflow throughout the year.
Stage 4: Second Building
After completing the first building, we repeated the same installation process on the second building next to it. Since both buildings have the same size and design, the same roofing system and installation approach were used throughout.
Results
The completed project provides all 16 condominium units with a durable and reliable metal roofing system. The high-profile ventilation system supports proper attic airflow throughout the year, including during Ontario winters. Charcoal Grey ThyssenKrupp steel gives both buildings a clean, consistent appearance while providing long-term protection from changing weather conditions. The result is a well-balanced roofing system designed to serve the entire condominium complex for decades.
