Project Overview

The condominium board contacted MROOF because the old shingles were worn out and squirrels had damaged some roofs. Since all houses had the same design, it was important that every new roof looked the same. Our team installed metal roofs using double wood strapping and metal panels. The project took one month and the board was very happy with the result.

Project Challenges

The challenges the MROOF team had were mainly planning and timing. All houses had the same design, so the roofs had to look identical. The first house became the example for the others. Another challenge was finishing the project before winter. We sent three crews to the site and made multiple visits to supervise the work.

Installation Process

Stage 2: Double Wood Strapping

We installed double wood strapping on top of the existing shingles. This created a strong and even base for the metal roofing system.

Stage 1: Roof Inspection and Planning

The MROOF team inspected the roofs of all 17 houses in the condominium. We planned the installation process and organized the work so every house would have the same roof design. Materials were delivered to the site, and the first house was selected as the example for the rest.

Stage 3: Metal Roof Installation

After the base was prepared, our crews installed starter flashings, metal panels, and valleys where needed. The first roof became the model, and the remaining houses followed the same installation scheme to keep the same look across all 17 homes.

Stage 4: Final Details

To complete the roofs, we installed ridge caps, gable trim, and snow stops. We also replaced washroom vents and sealed sewage pipes with rubber gaskets to ensure proper protection and ventilation.

Results

All 17 roofs in the condominium were successfully replaced with a new metal roofing system. The homes now have a strong and uniform roof design. The condominium board was very happy with the result. They left a 5-star Google review, and two members of the board also recorded a video review.
