Project Overview

The homeowner sought the services of MROOF because they had a 19-year-old shingle roof that was leaking and in need of replacement. The homeowner chose to install a metal roof because it is stronger. The homeowner also removed an unused chimney before the project began. The roof had two simple slopes with a low pitch, so the project moved quickly. Our team installed double wood strapping, starter flashings, and metal panels. We added ridge ventilation, ridge caps, and finished the edges with gable trim.

Project Challenges

The challenges MROOF team had were mainly related to the old roof condition.The 19-year-old shingles had leaks and were worn out, and the roof had to be replaced as soon as possible. Prior to the start of the job, it was necessary to take away the unused chimney. After this, the roof structure was relatively simple with two low-pitch slopes. The job progressed smoothly.

Installation Process

Stage 2: Double Wood Strapping

We installed double wood strapping across the roof. This created a strong and even base for the metal roofing system.

Stage 1: Roof & Leak Inspection

First, we checked the roof and looked at the leaks. The shingles on the roof were 19 years old and in poor condition, so we knew that the roof needed to be replaced.

Stage 3: Metal Panel Installation

We installed the metal panels across both roof slopes. The panels were aligned carefully to create a clean and durable roof surface.

Stage 4: Final Touches

We installed ridge ventilation and placed ridge caps on top. Both sides of the roof were finished with gable trims to complete the installation.

Results
