Project Overview
This new construction on the first lane of Georgian Bay was planned for over a year together with the homeowner and their architect. We installed a fully concealed Standing Seam metal roof with custom flashings, Velux skylights, and no visible screws, exactly as the owner requested.
Project Challenges
The main challenge MROOF faced was the location right on the first lane of Georgian Bay. The west winds were strong and almost constant, which made working with large metal panels much harder. Even on sunny days, the wind slowed us down and required extra focus during installation.
Installation Process
Stage 2: Membrane Installation
We covered the new plywood roof with Roofnado LapLock self-adhesive ice and water shield membrane. This protected the structure from moisture and prepared the base for the metal system.
Stage 1: Roof Inspection & Planning
Before starting, MROOF worked closely with the homeowner, architect, and construction team. We reviewed the design, confirmed materials and details, and made sure everything was planned correctly before installation began.
Stage 3: Skylight Installation
We installed Velux skylights and carefully integrated them into the roofing system. Proper framing and sealing ensured long-term performance and a clean finish.
Stage 4: Metal Panel Installation
We installed the Standing Seam metal panels over the prepared membrane. We also added custom flashings and ridge caps. The entire roof was finished with no visible screws, exactly as the homeowner requested.
Results
MROOF completed this new construction with a clean and precise Standing Seam metal roof. As requested by the homeowner, there are no visible screws anywhere on the surface, creating a flawless and modern finish built to last.
